In the 1940s, there were plenty of films made regarding WWII and the duties and responsibilities of both civilians and soldiers during the war. There are plenty of examples of these instructional films, and the quality of these shorts vary greatly depending on who made it. Official U.S. Government War Department movies can get pretty dry, but when the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences makes a movie, it's usually pretty solid. Such is the case with the short "Safeguarding Military Information" from 1941. The movie depicts a variety of different ways that information given to a trusted civilian can find its way to the bad guys, and it's always bad news when it does.

However, despite being unsuccessful in achieving this dream on her first visit, the ever determined McRae simply oozed success style wise — in our adoring eyes at least.
