Iron Man 3 Could Start Production Early; Captain America 2 to Shoot This Year, Followed by S.H.I.E.L.D. or Dr. Strange?

Marvel Studios and parent company Disney have yet to release The Avengers, but they're already hard at work on "phase two" of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, starting with Iron Man 3. That movie was set to start shooting at the end of May, after The Avengers had opened, but Comicbook.com reports the date's been moved up and filming could start as early as the end of April or the first week of May in Wilmington, North Carolina.

Marvel would not officially confirm the production change. It's likely that the studio will want Robert Downey Jr. to do press for The Avengers through April and, possibly, through The Avengers' opening date of May 4th. However, production could begin without Downey. "It is not April for sure," another Marvel source later told the site. Whether it shoots in early or late May, Iron Man 3 is set for a May 3, 2013 release date.

The "big game" is on its way. Far more exciting, the Super Bowl commercials are starting to hit the web. While it seems unlikely that anything will be more exciting than the Ferris Bueller commercial that's been teased, there's a new Twilight-inspired commercial that is pretty hilarious.

There's no direct association to the book and movie franchise, other than vampires with crazy contacts that can run really quickly up trees. And that where they're hanging out looks a lot like Edward and Bella's neighborhood. At first it seems strange that Audi would make a commercial that's reminiscent of a franchise that plugs Volvo... and then it all makes sense.

George Lucas Describes Star Wars as a "Painful" and "Unpleasant" Experience

Now that Red Tails has proven to be a moderate success (the $58M project has grossed $22M in its first week), George Lucas can go back to focusing on his real bread and butter — Star Wars (any profit Lucas makes from Red Tails will be just chump change compared to the fortunes Star Wars continues to bring in for him).

Lucas is now doing press for his upcoming 3-D re-release of Episode 1 - The Phantom Menace. In a video with Entertainment Weekly, Lucas talks about his experience making Episode IV - A New Hope.

The LA Police says that the 911 call that brought paramedics to Moore's home won't be released until next week. When it is, though, the call will be edited to remove medical and drug details — changes that comply with federal medical privacy rules.

Robert Hegyes, best known for playing Juan Epstein on Welcome Back, Kotter, died of an apparent heart attack on Thursday. Along with the hit '70s sitcom, Hegyes also starred in the detective series Cagney & Lacey and guest-starred on a number of other TV show. Epstein was 60.

The Kennedys Wins History Makers Award

Add another award to The Kennedys' growing list. Tonight the eight-part miniseries won Best Historical Drama Production at the 2012 History Makers Awards. The Kennedys, which aired on ReelzChannel, beat out Nazi Hunters (Canada/Brazil) and Mission to Murder Hitler (Germany) for the award, which recognizes the very best in history, current affairs, and non-fictional programming from around the world and across digital and TV platforms. ReelzChannel CEO Stan E. Hubbard had this to say about the win.

This award is a tremendous honor and validation for the cast, crew, and creators who worked so hard and so carefully to get the history right. Each and every one of them went to work every day with the weight of history on their shoulders and still had to endure two years of ridicule and criticism. In the end, this award from History Makers International proves that they got it right.

The Kennedys, which reached 7.7 million viewers during its premiere week, has previously won several accolades — four Emmy Awards (including Barry Pepper for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Miniseries) and three Gemini Awards. In addition, Greg Kinnear, who played John F. Kennedy, is also up for a Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Television Movie or Miniseries.

Ferris Bueller Apparently Needs Another Day Off

Everyone's favorite truant is making his return. A 10-second teaser for a Super Bowl ad featuring Matthew Broderick reprising his role as Ferris Bueller was posted on YouTube today. It's unclear what product the ad is for, and it's the only video from the user whose name is "chuckachucka2012". The channel has "favorite-d" a few videos, but those are all clips from John Hughes' 1986 classic Ferris Bueller's Day Off, so that doesn't provide much, either.

From this very short teaser, it appears that Ferris is successful and has some nice digs, and that got us wondering how the rest of the characters have fared. How involved was Cameron in the financial scandals of the past few years? Did Mr. Rooney find a less stressful line of work? Did the economics teacher ever get through role call in under 20 minutes? Did Ferris and Sloane get married? Divorced? Did Sloane ever say or do anything interesting of her own volition? Did Jeannie ever stop being jealous of Ferris? Did she ever compete in and win a major dance competition? Hopefully, some of these questions will be answered on February 5th.

Snow Way! Mirror, Mirror Moves Back Two Weeks, Releases Featurette; New Snow White and the Huntsman Image

Relativity Media drew first blood in the battle of the live-action Snow White movies by winning a scheduling chess match last year and grabbing a March 16 release date for Mirror, Mirror — months before Universal will release its Snow White and the Huntsman. Now, it appears Relativity wants a little bit more time, granting director Tarsem Singh (Immortals) another couple weeks and rescheduling Mirror, Mirror for March 30.

While Singh started shooting the movie last June, the move may have been more of a marketing decision. Previously, Mirror, Mirror, a comedic take on the Snow White story, was set to compete against the two other comedies — 21 Jump Street (which has been receiving good online buzz) and Butter — but will instead go up against against action sequel Wrath of the Titans and the animated The Pirates! Band of Misfits.

Brad Pitt and Mireille Enos Confirm Possible World War Z Trilogy

Earlier this month, a report claimed that director Marc Forster (Quantum of Solace) and Paramount Pictures were planning a trilogy for their adaptation of World War Z that mixed the "grounded, gun-metal realism" of the Bourne movies with the "unsettling end-times vibe" of AMC's The Walking Dead. The news was welcomed by fans who'd been wondering how screenwriter Matthew Michael Carnahan was going to adapt Max Brooks' detail-rich source material into a single movie.

Mireille Enos (The Killing), who is cast as the wife of Brad Pitt's U.N. Employee Gerry Lane, recently confirmed the report, telling E! Online at the Golden Globes that the plan has always been to turn World War Z into a trilogy.
