Is There Life On Other Planets?

10/30/2015 by REELZ

According to the Planetary Habitability Laboratory in Puerto Rico, there are 31 planets besides our own that can potentially support life.  Our scope of explorable universe is constantly growing, and as more and more light from distant objects makes its way to Earth, the number of habitable planets we classify will only grow.

There are several things taken into account when classifying a planet as habitable including, the planets distance from it’s star/sun, presence of liquid water, and enough atmospheric pressure.

So is there life on other planets?  We haven’t found any yet, but there is lots of potential for it in the universe, and scientists aren’t going to stop looking any time soon.  Check out the graphic below detailing all the habitable planets we’ve observed as of July 2015.
