ReelzChannel Celebrity Rundown
In Charlie Sheen's first comments since being hospitalized for excessive partying, he thanked his supporters and compared himself to Errol Flynn, the infamous womanizer/partyer/brawler who died at 50. Sheen is 45. Meanwhile, what was originally thought to be a 3-month stint in rehab has been shortened to about a month, with the Two and a Half Men star scheduled to return to the set by the end February.
The Halle Berry-Gabriel Aubry custody battle is turning ugly (and comical) as RadarOnline.com has acquired an email from Berry thanking the Canadian model ... for his sperm donation. Two days ago Berry abruptly dropped out of the ensemble comedy New Year's Day and was replaced by Katherine Heigl, who arrived on the set yesterday and was photographed still learning her lines.
Kristen Stewart playing Snow White in Universal's take on the fairy tale moved one step closer to reality as an offer has been made and "both sides want it to happen." Viggo Mortenson and Charlize Theron are already cast. Shooting starts this summer and the pic is set for a December 21, 2011 release.
In an interview with Marie Claire UK, Nicole Kidman opens up about her marriage to Tom Cruise, calling the relationship "great," but that it "ran its course" and the divorce left her "really damaged." Her ex's new wife, Katie Holmes, grabbed Starbucks yesterday with daughter Suri. We're pretty sure that's hot chocolate and not a triple-shot latte! Posted 02.03.11 by reelz
Daniel Radcliffe and his Harry Potter co-star Emma Watson have been crowned the top-grossing male and female actors by The Guinness Book of World Records. Radcliffe was added to the latest edition, which debuted in September, as the "Highest-Grossing Actor of the Decade," with a per-movie average of $558 million. Watson won the award for "Highest Average Box-Office Gross for an Actress," with a per-movie average of $753.7 million.
Other notable Hollywood winners include Angelina Jolie as "Most Powerful Actress" for the second year in a row and Johnny Depp as "Most Powerful Actor," supplanting Jolie's husband, Brad Pitt, who won the title last year. Former couple Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman earned the dubious awards of "Most Overpaid Actor" and "Most Overpaid Actress," respectively.
The pop culture phenomenon Twilight, directed by Catherine Hardwick, earned the award for "Highest-Grossing Movie by a Female Director," having raked in more than $380 million worldwide. Posted 12.17.09 by BrentJS
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Forbes announced Angelina Jolie and Jennifer Aniston as the biggest female moneymakers in Hollywood this past year. Many people are, of course, already taking note of the Brad Pitt connection. From June 2008 to June 2009 Jolie pulled in $27 million, while Aniston earned $25 million.
Jolie's big paycheck comes courtesy of Wanted, which grossed $341 million worldwide, and an advance for her role as a CIA agent in Phillip Noyce's upcoming Salt. Aniston's money comes from box-office winner Marley & Me, as well as her role in SmartWater commercials. She also received an advance for The Baster, where she will star alongside Juliette Lewis, Jason Bateman, and Jeff Goldblum.
Completing the top 10 are Meryl Streep, Sarah Jessica Parker, Cameron Diaz, Sandra Bullock, Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman, Drew Barrymore, and Renée Zellweger.
THR also noted that the $183 million earned by the Top 10 women falls well short of the $393 million taken in by the Top 10 men. Harrison Ford topped that list with $65 million. Posted 07.02.09 by reelz
