Universal has released a new, behind-the-scenes "making of" featurette for their upcoming 3-D animated Despicable Me. The movie tells the story of the #2 supervillain Gru (Steve Carell) whose competition between himself and the #1 supervillain Vector (Jason Segel), is interrupted when he is forced to take in three little orphaned girls(Miranda Cosgrove, Dana Gaier, and Elsie Fisher).
The featurette includes scenes from the upcoming movie, behind-the-scenes footage, and interviews with cast members and directors Chris Renaud and Pierre Coffin.

The official press junket for Universal's foray into family-friendly animated features, Despicable Me, was held this past weekend in Los Angeles, and to coincide with the event eight new clips from the 3-D CGI movie have been released. The story follows the supervillain Gru (voiced by Steve Carell) as he attempts to outdo his main competitor in supervillainy, the more dastardly Vector (Jason Segel), by stealing the moon and win favor with his disparaging mother (Julie Andrews).

If you haven't heard of the latest Judd Apatow production, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, don't expect that to last much longer. Universal is promoting the heck out of this one and billboards (the ones that say things like "You suck Sarah Marshall") are all over the big cities and the trailer is before just about every movie.
