Universal is hyping the upcoming release of writer-director-producer George Nolfi's (The Bourne Ultimatum) new romantic sci-fi thriller, The Adjustment Bureau, by releasing six new preview clips from the movie. Based on a short story by the late sci-fi author Philip K. Dick, whose works have been adapted into such movies as Blade Runner, Total Recall, Minority Report, and A Scanner Darkly, The Adjustment Bureau proposes that there is a shadowy organization working behind the scenes of everyday life to make sure that we all follow our preordained destinies.
When an aspiring politician named David (Damon) falls for a ballet dancer named Elise (Blunt), "the agents of Fate" intercede to keep the two apart because they foresee the pairing as ultimately disastrous for both parties. David, refusing to accept his fate, struggles against the seemingly all-powerful agents for the right to follow his heart.
