Not much is known about Spider-Man 4, the sequel director Sam Raimi was preparing for Sony, other than it was going to feature John Malkovich as the Vulture, and possibly also include the Black Cat , until Raimi decided he couldn't make the movie in Sony's timeframe and quit the project, leaving Sony to reboot the franchise. Fans had a mixed reaction to the news, while Malkovich admitted he was "disappointed" by the decision, and he wasn't the only cast member to feel that way.
