"Hermoine just stole all of our s**t."
After the release of an April Fool's joke trailer for a sequel to 2008's Pineapple Express, an actual, red-band trailer has been released for the upcoming, apocalyptic comedy This is the End.
The movie follows Seth Rogen, James Franco, Danny McBride, Craig Robinson, Jonah Hill and Jay Baruchel as fictional versions of themselves trying to stay alive while living in Franco's house after an apocalypse hits the planet. The NSFW trailer shows the movie's many cameos, including Michael Cera, Rihanna, Mindy Kaling, Aziz Ansari and a not-messing-around Emma Watson, whose apocalypse survival instinct is take what's hers. watch the trailer >> Posted 04.03.13 by Ryan
"We should make more sequels to our movies."
For those that loved the 2008 comedy Pineapple Express, you're in luck: Seth Rogen, James Franco, Danny McBride and Craig Robinson, along with Jonah Hill, have teamed up for a sequel, sort of.
In what is clearly a April Fool's joke, Sony Pictures has released a trailer for Pineapple Express 2, reuniting Dale (Rogen), Saul (Franco), Red (McBride) and henchman Matheson (Robinson), that quickly revealed to be the trailer for This is the End instead. The upcoming comedy sees those same actors (plus Jay Baruschel) play fictional(?) versions of themselves as they live together in a single apartment while a global apocalypse destroys the Earth. watch the trailer >> Posted 04.01.13 by Ryan
One of the long-gestating projects for actor-writer Seth Rogen has been the end-of-the-world horror-comedy Jay and Seth vs. the Apocalypse, which we first reported on in 2008. The "Jay" of the the title is Rogen's Knocked Up co-star Jay Baruchel. To promote the production, the two actors made an eight-minute short (NSFW) that took place in a dingy apartment with a dwindling water supply in a post-apocalyptic world.
Now, after several years of waiting, it looks as though the full-length movie version is on the way, but will include more than just Baruchel and Rogen, as Rogen revealed to MTV: more cast and plot details revealed >> Posted 09.22.11 by Ryan
Last month, actor-producer Tom Cruise was confirmed to produce and act in Paramount Pictures' adaptation of author Lee Child's novel One Shot. Finally, Cruise is getting some company.
Deadline reports that Rosamund Pike is in negotiations to take the female lead, that of a defense attorney named Helen Rodin. In the novel, Cruise's character, former Military Police Officer-turned-drifter Jack Reacher, investigates the deaths of five individuals, all shot by a lone sniper. Pike's Rodin is defending the man arrested for the shootings, and joins up with Cruise's Reacher to bring down the real culprits.
One Shot was adapted by screenwriter Christopher McQuarrie (Valkyrie, The Usual Suspects), who will also direct for the first time since his 2000 crime drama The Way of the Gun. Production on the movie will start this fall in Pittsburgh. No release date for One Shot has been announced so far.
Pike can be seen next in September's Johnny English Reborn, followed by the October comedy The Big Year and, next March, in Wrath of the Titans, the sequel to Clash of the Titans. Hill and dewitt to join Stiller and Vaughn in Neighborhood Watch >> Posted 08.17.11 by Ryan
