Thor may be opening in May, but the promotional campaign for director Matthew Vaughn's upcoming X-Men prequel, X-Men: First Class, seems to be everywhere lately, unleashing a new TV spot and movie images, as well as two new international posters.
The latest promotional item is a second international trailer, which combines footage from the previous international trailer and the TV spot, as well as snippets of new footage into one, action-packed new trailer that follows the early days of Charles Xavier, a.k.a. Professor X (James McAvoy) and Erik Lensherr, a.k.a. Magneto (Michael Fassbender).
X-Men: First Class was adapted by Vaughn's Kick-Ass screenwriter Jane Goldman, based on an outline created by producer Bryan Singer (X-Men, X2: X-Men United). The prequel co-stars Nicholas Hoult as Beast, Caleb Landry Jones as Banshee, January Jones as Emma Frost, Oliver Platt as The Man in Black, Lucas Till as Havok, Edi Gathegi as Darwin, Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique, Jason Flemying as Azazel, Rose Byrne as Moira MacTaggert, and Kevin Bacon as Sebastian Shaw.
