More actors have RSVP'd for Universal's American Reunion.
The fourth installment in the American Pie franchise gained steam last month with the news that the cast from the original were planning to return for the sequel, which Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg (Harold and Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay) are writing and directing.
Jason Biggs, Seann William Scott, and Eugene Levy are already confirmed to return, and now Chris Klein will officially join them. The actor's representative told People that Klein is "very excited to reunite with the original cast."
Meanwhile, Deadline reports that Alyson Hannigan, previously a question mark, signed on to the sequel last week. Reunion will reportedly revolve around her character and Bigg's, and the family they've had since getting married in 2003's American Wedding.
American Pie actors Thomas Ian Nichols, Tara Reid, Jennifer Coolidge, and Mena Suvari are all expected to return, with Suvari basically confirming herself to the UK's Press Association in London, where she's shooting the British romantic comedy The Knot.
I'm going to be working on American Reunion, so going back to the States and I think we're going to be working in the South, it's going to be a couple of months and that's going to be really exciting, I'm looking forward to that.
Suvari also confirmed that most of the original cast will all return.
The majority of us have [signed on]. It's exciting. It's shocking though that it's been 10 years already. Time just flies.
Suvari admitted that she has not seen the script yet, but said: "When I get home I'm gonna read it for the first time so I really don't know much but I'm excited to see."
Production will reportedly start on May 24. Original American Pie writer-directors Chris and Paul Weitz will executive produce the sequel.
