Will Smith Could Star in Quentin Tarantino's Spaghetti Western

Quentin Tarantino is known for reviving actors' careers and turning them into movie stars (see Pulp Fiction's Samuel L. Jackson and John Travolta; Jackie Brown's Pam Grier and Robert Forster and Inglourious Basterds' Christoph Waltz). But for his new project Tarantino could be teaming up with the the biggest movie star in the world.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Tarantino wants Will Smith to star in his a spaghetti Western Django Unchained.
If Smith signs up for the movie, he'd play Djano, a freed slave who seeks to unite with his wife. THR is also reporting Waltz and Jackson could join re-team with QT as a Germany bounty hunter and a house slave.
Reportedly Smith's team has received the hot script but not talks have started yet. Aside from Bad Boys and Bad Boys II Smith has for the most part stayed away from hard material and apparently there's some concern about a particular N-word that QT is particularly fond of. Shooting starts this fall in the South.
Think Smith can handle Tarantino's material?
