Isaiah Mustafa Continues to Campaign for Himself as Luke Cage in Video Pitch

In April, actor Isaiah Mustafa — best known for his appearances in Old Spice commercials — admitted he was openly campaigning for the role of Marvel Comics superhero Luke Cage. Mustafa said that he already "already had a meeting with Marvel" where he revealed that he was "a gracious reader of their comics and that I wanted to be Luke Cage."
While there was no reason to doubt Mustafa's passion for the role, the actor has taken his campaign to another level with a pitch video starring the actor as the character.
Created in 1972 by writer Archie Goodwin and artist John Romita, Sr., Luke Cage, also known as Power Man, was sent to prison and was granted parole in exchange for participation in an experimental procedure that gave him increased strength and unbreakable skin that resists injury. Initially a hero-for-hire, Luke Cage at one point partnered with the superhero Iron Fist and has gone on to lead the Avengers.
A Luke Cage movie has been in some kind of development since 2003, but has yet to reach production. Marvel Entertainment is reportedly searching for screenwriters for Luke Cage, though no writer has been publicly announced. Marvel clearly has to be developing the character in some way, or Mustafa wouldn't be campaigning so hard for the role — nor would Thor's Idris Elba, who has also expressed interest.
Mustafa has another reason to be confident. In December of last year, Marvel Entertainment president Kevin Feige was asked about Mustafa as Luke Cage, to which Feige responded, "Love the Old Spice guy!"
What do you think? Is Mustafa a good fit for the role?
