Non-Bootleg Trailer for The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo Debuts

Earlier this week, a bootleg version of the red band trailer for the American version of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo was released for a moment before the lawyers for Sony Pictures shut it down. Conspiracy theorists thought that Sony leaked the trailer on purpose, but of course, Sony denied it.
In place of the bootleg, Sony has released a green band trailer that is essentially the same as the red band version, only it's shorter, contains less nudity (none, really), and can actually be seen.
Touted as the "feel bad movie of Christmas," the trailer seems similar in tone as the 2009 Swedish adaptation that were released in the U.S. last year. Director David Fincher, however, maintains that the American version is not a remake of the Swedish movie and is based more on the original Stieg Larsson novel.
Girl with the Dragon Tattoo stars Rooney Mara in the iconic role of computer hacker Lisbeth Salander, with Daniel Craig as journalist Mikael Blomkvist. For those unfamiliar with the novel or Swedish adaptation, the two work together to solve the 40-year-old disappearance of a woman. Stellan Skarsgård and Robin Wright co-star.
