New Spy Photo from The Dark Knight Rises

In this age of portable digital devices and social media, keeping plot details of an upcoming movie secret is becoming increasingly more difficult. Savvy directors like Christopher Nolan find a way to keep secrets intact, while also releasing viral campaigns that appease some fervent fan curiosity, which is what the first still image from the upcoming sequel The Dark Knight Rises featuring Tom Hardy as the comic book villain Bane does.
Other viral items, such as three recently released videos that feature a burning Gotham and a horde of released Arkham Asylum prisoners, remained unconfirmed and could be the work of a savvy fan instead. However, the Asylum has been rumored to play a significant role in the movie for over a year.
A recent casting call for the Pittsburgh portion of the production revealed that Gotham will become a "city besieged by crime and corruption," though what that means exactly remains to be seen. The latest spy photo from the production offers another enticing element of the sequel: Someone will jump out a window.
Who that someone could be is matter of debate. The figure that is jumping out could be Bane or Batman (Christian Bale), though it's more likely that it's a stunt-person filling in for an actor.
The shot comes from the West Croydon set in London, England, where Nolan and his crew are currently shooting. Before heading to America, Highland News reports (via Den of Geek) the shoot will move to Inverness Airport in Scotland in the coming weeks, possibly for aerial shots. The Inverness shoot has yet to be confirmed.
The shoot will then transfer to Osterley Park House in West London on June 15, 16, 17, and 22, where Batman-on-Film reports that a few of the interior rooms will double for the interiors of Wayne Manor, which likely has been reconstructed.
The Dark Knight Rises was written by Nolan and his brother Jonathan. The cast includes the return of Morgan Freeman as Lucius Fox, Michael Caine as Alfred Pennyworth, Nestor Carbonell as the mayor of Gotham City, and Gary Oldman as Commissioner James Gordon. Newcomers include Anne Hathaway as Selina Kyle/Catwoman, Josh Pence as Ra's Al Ghul, Juno Temple as Holly Robinson, Marion Cotillard as Wayne Enterprises board member Miranda Tate, Joseph Gordon-Levitt as policeman John Blake, Alon Aboutboul as a "mad scientist," Brett Cullen as a judge, Chris Ellis as a priest, and Tom Conti and Joey King in unspecified roles.
