Red Band Trailer for Attack the Block

If one were to describe writer-director Joe Cornish's debut feature, Attack the Block, you could say it's the British version of the recently released Super 8 in that both movies have a group of kids encounter a creature and both are inspired by the youth-oriented movies of the 1980s. Unlike Super 8, however, the kids in Attack the Block are hooligans who kill the alien they find, leading more aliens to attack their South London neighborhood.
Also setting the two movies apart, Super 8 never had a red band trailer. The new trailer celebrates Attack the Block's recently announced limited release date of July 29th. Attack the Block scored U.S. distribution after premiering at this year's South by Southwest Festival, where it received almost universal praise.
Attack the Block was produced by Edgar Wright (Shaun of the Dead), and stars newcomers John Boyega, Simon Howard, Franz Drameh, Leeon Jones and Alex Esmail as well as Nick Frost (Paul, Shaun of the Dead), Jodie Whittaker (One Day) and Luke Treadaway (Clash of the Titans).
