Two More Cast Members Join G.I. Joe 2

Paramount is slowly assembling its cast for G.I. Joe: 2, the upcoming sequel to 2009's G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra from director Jon Chu (Justin Bieber: Never Say Never).
Earlier this month, French actress Elodie Yung (District 13: Ultimatum) was cast as L.A.-born ninja Jinx, while Dwayne Johnson began talks to possibly join the cast as heavy machine gunner and aspiring chef Roadblock. Chu and screenwriters Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick (Zombieland) have decided against using most of cast of The Rise of the Cobra, meaning there are plenty of new characters to cast for the sequel. Two more are getting drafted into the elite covert special forces unit.
THR reports that the latest recruits to join the sequel are D.J. Cotrona (Dear John, canceled TV show Detroit 1-8-7) and Wu-Tang Clan, aka rapper-turned-actor RZA. Cotrona will play beret-wearing G.I. Joe member Flint, one of the more popular characters excluded from The Rise of Cobra, while RZA will play martial arts master the Blind Master, the one responsible for training Jinx and returning character Snake Eyes (Ray Park). Through his Twitter account, co-screenwriter Reese couldn't "confirm or deny" the two recent castings, but did confirm Johnson (thanks to Echo7Solo for asking about the casting announcements).
that one I can confirm. DJ in the movie!
Earlier this month, Reese also set the record straight on the reported title change to G.I. Joe: Cobra Strikes. Unfortunately, the sequel is still untitled.
To correct some misinformation: Cobra Strikes is not the title of GI Joe 2.
Returning for G.I. Joe 2 so far are Channing Tatum (Duke) and Lee Byung-hun (Storm Shadow). With a release date of August 10, 2012, we expect that more casting announcements will arrive shortly and a production start will be revealed.
