There was more chaos and drama at Weston Cage's house over the long weekend. Both Cage and his wife Nikki were booked on felony domestic violence charges after Nikki allegedly attacked her husband with a broken bottle. The two had just recently come out of rehab.
This is not the first time Nicolas Cage's son has seen trouble. It was less than a month ago that Weston got into a violent confrontation with his trainer.
Joey Chestnut won the Offical Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Championship at Coney Island on Monday, eating 62 hot dogs in 10 minutes. Not to be outdone, Takeru Kobayashi beat the world record at a separate exhibition event by downing 69 hot dogs in the same amount of time. Kobabyashi was not allowed at the Coney Island competition because he won't sign a contract with Major League Eating.
For the first time in her career, Taylor Swift canceled a concert. The show, which was supposed to have taken place in Louisville, Kentucky, on Saturday night was rescheduled for October 11. According to the singer's website the cancellation was "due to illness and under doctor's orders."
Over the long weekend, Katie Holmes surprised Tom Cruise with a 49th birthday party in Miami, where the actor is filming Rock of Ages. The guest list included 40 "close friends" as well as Cruise's three children.
Chord Overstreet, who plays Sam Evans (aka Trouty-Mouth) on Glee, will not be returning as a series regular to season three of Fox's musical satire, though he may make an occasional guest appearance. This is bad news for some Glee fans, but possibly good news for the fictional Evans family who was homeless for most of last season — maybe this means that Sam's dad finally found a job.
