A new TV spot recently began airing for director Craig Gillespie's (Lars and the Real Girl) latest movie, Fright Night, and it can now be viewed online. An updated remake of the 1985 original, the movie follows Charley Brewster (Anton Yelchin), a typical suburban teenager who begins to suspect that his charismatic new neighbor (Colin Farrell) is actually a vampire. The new movie was written by Buffy the Vampire Slayer writer Marti Noxon, whose comedic side shines through in this new spot as Charley's friend, "Evil" Ed Thomspon (Christopher Mintz-Plasse), explains that this vampire is more like the shark in Jaws and less like the "brooding or lovesick" vampires in Twilight.
Fright Night also stars Imogen Poots, David Tennant, Toni Collete, Dave Franco, Will Denton, Chelsea Tavares, Emily Montague, and Grace Phipps. The movie opens nationwide on August 19th.
