Arnold Schwarzenegger Return Vehicle Gets Release Date

Last week, we reported that Arnold Schwarzenegger would make his acting return in The Last Stand, the action flick from Korean director Ji-woon Kim. Today, Deadline reports that the movie now has an official release date, January 18, 2013.
As of yet, no other casting decisions have been announced. Should Schwarzenegger stay on the project, it would mark his first credited movie role since Around the World in 80 Days in 2004. He was also in last year's The Expendables, but the role was uncredited.
The Last Stand seems like a great chance for Schwarzenegger to channel a grizzly, veteran sheriff who has to stand up for his town. He'll play a disgraced cop who ends up in a small border town threatened by drug cartel leader. Of course, he'll be reluctant to get involved, yada, yada.
Even if the plot won't be anything that unfamiliar, we suspect the creativity of Kim's action directing will make it a fun ride. To see what we mean, check out this clip from The Good, the Bad, the Weird,
