Knights of Badassdom Comic-Con Trailer

With the first photos revealed last week, director Joe Lynch (Wrong Turn 2: Dead End) brought the trailer for his latest movie, Knights of Badassdom, to the 2011 Comic-Con, where it received a warm welcome.
Starring the fanboy-friendly Summer Glau (Serenity), Ryan Kwanten (HBO's True Blood) and Peter Dinklage (Game of Thrones), Knights of Badassdom is about a group of friends engaged in LARPing (Live-Action Role Playing) and accidentally summon a demon during the game. Said Kwanten to the Comic-Con crowd about his character: "Blood and guts start appearing randomly, and he's forced to pick up the pieces." Some of the pieces will likely be from Margarita Levieva, who plays Kwanten's ex-girlfriend Beth and is the form the succubus takes when it arrives on Earth.
Lynch told the crowd (via USA Today) that the movie mashed up all of the director's favorite genres, but it mostly an adventure movie.
The adventure film genre is one that combines chills and thrills and spills. Look at The Goonies or Ghostbusters — even Conan the Barbarian. There are some laughs in there, not at Conan's expense. It's everything I loved in films I grew up with. And heavy metal.
See for yourself if Lynch successfully mashed up the genres in the semi-NSFW trailer below.
Knights of Badassdom co-stars Steve Zahn, Jimmi Simpson (FX's It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia) and Danny Pudi (NBC's Community). The movie is currently without a release date.
