In Abduction, the new thriller from Academy Award-nominated director John Singleton (Boyz n the Hood), Taylor Lautner (The Twilight Saga) plays Nathan Harper, an average teenager who discovers that everything he knows about himself might be a lie after finding his photo on a missing children website. Harper is depicted as a Bourne-esque character in the last pair of preview clips released to promote the movie, leaping from a moving vehicle into the unknown to avoid his mysterious pursuers and then going mano-a-mano against a hired assassin ... and winning. As bad as he may be, however, even Harper is forced to get down on the ground and take cover when a gunman starts taking pot shots at him in the latest preview clip from the movie.
We also learn in the new clip that part of the intrigue surrounding Harper's identity has to do with an encrypted list of people who have sold or traded state secrets, a list that various groups are willing to kill to retrieve.
Abduction was written by first-time feature screenwriter Shawn Christensen. Sigourney Weaver, Alfred Molina, Dermot Mulroney, Maria Bello and Jason Isaacs also star.
