Ryan Reynolds and Jeff Bridges Captured on the R.I.P.D. Set

Thanks to the efforts of dedicated paparazzi — and the dumb luck of one fan with a video camera — we've now gotten a look at all of the principal actors in director Robert Schwentke's follow-up to RED (2010), the supernatural action-comedy R.I.P.D.. The movie follows a supernatural police force, the Rest in Peace Department, and the exploits of its newest member, the recently deceased Nick (Ryan Reynolds), and his crusty partner, Bo (Jeff Bridges), a gunslinger who has been dead since the 1800s.
After R.I.P.D. went into production in Boston two weeks ago, the first "spy" footage of the shoot was captured by a baseball fan who just happened to be sitting in the same row at Fenway Park that Marisa Miller and James Hong happened to traverse while filming a scene as the human avatars of Bridges' and Reynolds' characters. Yesterday, Reynolds himself was snapped on the set, along with Stephanie Szostak (who plays Nick's wife) and Kevin Bacon (cast as "the antagonist," which we're taking to mean Bacon's character is the one who sends Nick to his grave). Now, Reynolds has been captured on the set yet again, this time alongside his partner-in-death, Bridges, who is seen in costume as Bo for the first time.
R.I.P.D.'s plot revolves around the mysterious circumstances surrounding Nick's death: Dying without knowing the identify of his killer makes Nick a restless spirit, prompting him to sign up for a stint with the R.I.P.D. in the hopes that he will be able to track down his killer and finally be at peace. Mike O'Malley and Mary-Louise Parker also star.
Here's a side-by-side comparison of the comic book versions of Bo and Nick and the movie versions portrayed by Bridges and Reynolds:
Based on the Dark Horse comic book by writer Peter Lenkov and artist Lucas Marangon, R.I.P.D. is Reynolds' fourth comic book adaptation (Blade Trinity, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Green Lantern). The movie was penned by the screenwriting team of Matt Manfredi and Phil Hay (Clash of the Titans remake).
