Chuck Norris and Jean-Claude Van Damme Confirmed for The Expendables 2; Nicolas Cage and John Travolta Still Possible

There's been a lot of rumors lately over who will appear in the upcoming sequel The Expendables 2, leaving Jason Statham, one the few actors confirmed to return, to declare "who the f**k knows" who will be cast.
Besides Statham, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Bruce Willis are confirmed to reprise their roles in the movie, as is the writer, director and star of the original, Sylvester Stallone. In a conversation with EW, Stallone officially confirmed that Jean-Claude Van Damme would appear, as well.
We’ll have a big showdown between me and Van Damme, which has been anticipated for a long time, so it should be a good one.
Stallone also said that more action stars are joining up daily. "We’ve got Chuck Norris and I think Nic Cage," said Stallone. "We’re trying to work out different scenarios."
John Travolta, another rumored cast addition, could join as well. "It's possible," Stallone said of Travolta. "The one thing I’ve learned is what is a fact on Monday is a complete fallacy on Tuesday. A lot of it is scheduling. It’s not financial. It’s just that Bulgaria [the shooting location for the sequel] is definitely a jaunt. It’s a commitment, you know what I mean? Especially in the dead of winter."
The original Expendables was filled with action movie stars, including Chinese martial arts expert Jet Li and Dolph Lundgren, but Stallone says other action stars, some of which haven't been regularly making action movies lately, might take part as well.
I like using people that had a moment and then maybe have fallen on some hard times and give them another shot. So we’re always looking for actors like Michael Biehn and Michael Paré. I like those kinds of guys. Someone did it for me and I like to see if I can do it for them. We also need some new blood in there, a Navy Seal-type, because with the Expendables none of them have 20-20 vision anymore. They need some help, man.
A safe bet for a return would be the rest of Stallone and Statham's crew, including Li, Lundgren, Terry Crews and Mickey Rourke. Expendables 2 was written by Ken Kaufman and David Agosto, and Simon West (Con Air) will direct.
