World War Z: Brad Pitt Sets London Ablaze

After transforming the city of Glasgow, Scotland, into Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, production on the adaptation of World War Z has moved to London, England, where the streets are literally being set on fire.
New "spy" set photos were released by The Daily Mail that show Brad Pitt brandishing a rifle and protecting his on-screen wife Mireille Enos (AMC's The Killing) and their two on-screen children. According to the Mail, Pitt "shot his way out of a tough corner, while cars exploded around him." Zombies reportedly were chasing Pitt and his family down the street, with one member of the undead falling "from the the sky onto the roof of a nearby vehicle."
With a recent plot synopsis revealing that World War Z would see Pitt "traverse the world in a race against time to stop the Zombie pandemic," it's not clear if the London set is meant to be that city, or if it's filling in for yet another US city. While Celebrity-Gossip offered more set photos from the shoot, there's still no explanation on how the London location will figure into the movie.
Based on the best-selling novel of the same name by Max Brooks, World War Z is being directed by Marc Forster (Quantum of Solace) with a script from screenwriter Matthew Michael Carnahan (The Kingdom). The rest of the cast includes
Matthew Fox (Lost), James Badge Dale (The Departed), and Elyes Gabel (HBO's Game of Thrones). Paramount Pictures has scheduled World War Z for a December 21, 2012 release.
