International Trailer for The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo Explores the Partnership

After releasing a long trailer at the end of last month, Columbia Pictures has released a new, international trailer for the remake of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. That makes three trailers total in the past four months.
The latest trailer focuses on the partnership between computer hacker Lisbeth Salander (Rooney Mara) and journalist Mikael Blomkvist (Daniel Craig), as the attempt to solve the 40-year-old disappearance of a young woman at the behest of successful businessman Henrik Vanger (Christopher Plummer).
Each trailer has had its own purpose. The first trailer was about setting ambiance, with its fast-paced editing and use of Trent Reznor's cover of Led Zeppelin's "Immigrant Song," while the long trailer served to introduce Mara as Salander (played to much acclaim by Noomi Rapace in the 2009 Swedish adaptation).
Based on the international bestseller by late Swedish author Stieg Larsson, The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo was adapted by Steven Zaillian (Moneyball) and directed by The Social Network and Se7en's David Fincher (the pair were given their own special title card at the end of the trailer, so we're guessing that Steven Zaillian sells tickets abroad). Stellan Skarsgård and Robin Wright co-star.
