New Pics for Snow White with Julia Roberts

Mirror, mirror, on the wall, who has the craziest dress of them all?
With a peach dress so large and shiny, even tall Miss Roberts looks teeny tiny.
Even though we still don't know whether the movie will be called "Something Something Snow White" or "Snow White and the Something Something", there are some new pics for next year's family friendly fairy tale version of Snow White. (These shots are clearly nothing like last week's tough and gritty spy pics for Snow White and the Huntsman.) With the pics released today by EW it's obvious that Tarsem Singh's story takes place in an ornately decorated, magical world where, rather than wearing armor, people wear huge and elaborate dresses that make walking nearly impossible.
These pictures make it very evident that costume designer Eiko Ishioka had a field day with this movie. Along with the giant salmon colored, gold-embroidered frock above, the Evil Queen (Julia Roberts) also wears a large, red, peacock-themed dress and, though it's not pictured, Singh said that the wedding dress reportedly took 14 people to carry.
Snow White, herself (Lily Collins), manages to looks cute and pixie-ish even while wearing a giant blue dress that features paniers and puffed sleeves. It seems, though, that even someone as lovely as Collins has trouble pulling off a swan hat that even Björk would think was perhaps a touch too kooky. Also, though Armie Hammer would look dashing and handsome in just about any piece of clothing he were to put on, a dress still seems an odd choice.
Next year's "competing" Snow White flicks continue to try to distance themselves from each other, with Sing telling EW "they’re so far behind us, there’s no point in watching it," and "It’s a different type of film." From the pics we've seen in the past few days, it hardly seems necessary to point out the differences; it looks like the only similarity is the main character's name.
