Design a Movie Poster for Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance
10.21.11 by Chris
As of late, the art of fan-created movie posters has really taken off. Talented fans have created posters for older movies and even movies still in production. Often these posters give the official ones a run for their money.
Looks like the team behind Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance have noticed the trend too, and are now giving fans a shot at creating a poster for the Nicolas Cage flick in the "New Face of the Fan Contest."
The studio is looking for fan art that captures "the excitement of legendary character."
Visit the contest page to get started. There, fans will find digital assets to use for their original poster. Each fan can submit up to three finished pieces for the movie, which hits theaters. Feb. 17.
The grand prize winner will receive a trip for two to the premiere of the movie and the chance to have the winning poster in selected theaters. 10 finalists will each receive $300 SonyStyle gift cards.
Here's a few examples of fan-created movie posters we found to be pretty impressive. Too many studio movie posters are generic and bland and look like something that came out of a focus group. We hope more movies follow Ghost Rider's example.
