The Avengers Getting Top-Notch Musical Score

With an all-star cast of Hollywood heavyweights playing the superheroes and fan-favorite Joss Whedon delivering dialogue and direction, what could The Avengers be lacking — besides the tremendous amount of CGI effects that are currently being worked on in post-production? A triumphant score worthy of "Earth's Mightiest Heroes." Enter: Alan Silvestri. Long rumored to be Marvel's first choice to score The Avengers after his work Captain America: The First Avenger, the two-time Academy Award-winning composer announced that he will be scoring The Avengers by adding it to the Filmography page of his personal website.
Even if you're unfamiliar with Silvestri's name, you are sure to be acquainted with his work on such classic movies as Back to the Future, Predator, Who Framed Roger Rabbit?, Forrest Gump, and The Polar Express. Here's a sample:
