New Preview Clip From Mission: Impossible -- Ghost Protocol Starring Simon Pegg and Jeremy Renner

One thing the Mission: Impossible franchise likes to do with its characters is push them through air vents and hang them upside down. Tom Cruise's wire work inside a vault in CIA headquarters was one of the seminal moments in 1996's Mission: Impossible, but for the fourth installment, Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol, it's Jeremy Renner that's shown floating in air in the movie's trailers and not Cruise (who's too busy running along the outside of the Burj Khalifa tower, the world's tallest building).
A preview clip released last week saw Renner's character Brandt feeling pretty nervous right before he is forced to jump into the air shaft. In the latest clip, Renner's nervousness is justified when Simon Pegg reveals the dangers involved in Renner's jump, which will find him falling 25 feet over the giant fan of a computer array.
Ghost Protocol sees Cruise return as agent Ethan Hunt just in time to be disavowed and blamed for a terrorist bombing of the Kremlin. Hunt assembles his team (Renner, Pegg, and Paula Patton), going undercover to reclaim the reputation of the entire Impossible Mission Force. The Incredibles director Brad Bird makes his live-action debut in the sequel, which was produced by Mission: Impossible III director J.J. Abrams, who also helped co-write the movie's story with Josh Appelbaum, Andre Nemec and Christopher McQuarrie. Josh Holloway (Lost), Vladimir Mashkov (Behind Enemy Lines), Michael Nyqvist (The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo), and Anil Kapoor (Slumdog Millionaire) co-star.
