Gary Busey Discusses His Piranha 3DD Role

The first trailer for the upcoming Piranha 3D sequel, Piranha 3DD, revealed how David Hasselhoff was going to be utilized in the movie, but did not reveal how the movie's other cameo, Gary Busey, will appear — Busey was cast in April, but his role was unspecified. Leave it to Busey himself to explain what his part is during an interview with Empire. Whether Busey is telling the truth or not is up to you to decide.
I play a farmer. A cow explodes because of its farting ability and out of it come hundreds of piranha, raining down on me. You'll see how I treat one of them.
For the record, Piranha 3DD will see the prehistoric nasties take over a water park, so how Busey will or will not play a farmer in that scenario is anyone's guess. Not done displaying his signature eccentricity, Busey revealed that he has an idea for a movie in case anyone's interested.
I’ve got a great one. There’s a guy, he’s a wilderness guy, and he comes in to civilization and tunes into the world news. He learns about the gangs - the Crips and the Bloods and such - and builds a camp for them. Near that part of the woods the wilderness man senses a very negative vibration, and they don’t know what evil lurks there but there is evil. And what happens is at first the Crips and the Bloods start attacking each other, people are getting stabbed, but then the wilderness man comes in and starts taking them on, and there’s no way they can handle him, so he starts teaching them self-defense.
Piranha 3DD is due out next year, though a new release date has not been revealed since it was pulled from its previously scheduled Thanksgiving release. Written by Feast's Marcus Dunstan, Patrick Melton and Joel Soisson and directed by Feast's John Gulager, the sequel will co-star Danielle Panabaker (Friday the 13th, The Crazies), Matt Bush (Adventureland), Chris Zylka (The Amazing Spider-Man), David Koechner (Anchorman), Meagan Tandy (Unstoppable) and Clu Gulager (Feast).
