Lone Ranger Remake in the Works

Good news, kemosabes. Disney has announced plans to bring the Lone Ranger, the famed cowboy crimefighter with the least-convincing disguise ever, back to the big screen --Bruckheimer-style.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, superproducer Jerry Bruckheimer will be producing the flick, said to be about the masked rider's origin story, for the Mouse House, with Pirates of the Caribbean scribes Ted Elliott and Terry Rossio tasked with writing the screenplay. First among their duties will be to find a way to turn outdated Native American stereotype Tonto into a hip, fast-talking sidekick with an arsenal of witty catchphrases. Hi-yo silver, dawg!
