Tucked away in Herriman, Utah, a suburb of Salt Lake City, resides a quaint, multi-colored house modeled after the home in the animated movie Up. Two self-proclaimed Disney fanatics, Clinton and Lynette Hamblin purchased their colorful dream home for $400,000 with plans to move in January 4th.
The couple, originally from Petaluma, California, had been searching for houses with a similar look to the one in the movie but stopped looking as soon as they discovered the house in Herriman. The house was never officially listed for sale, but builder Blair Bangerter decided to sell after meeting the couple and realizing how much they loved Up. Lynette Hablin told the Salt Lake Tribune, "we just love the message of the movie – adventure is out there." Up is a 2009 Pixar produced, Disney distributed animated movie about an old man's love for his deceased wife and her dream to travel.
