Men in Black 3 Trailer Goes Back in Time

Leading up to the release of the first trailer for Men in Black III, plot details have been pretty thin. While it was known that the third installment would see Agent J (Will Smith) go back in time to meet the younger version of Agent K (Tommy Lee Jones) — played by Josh Brolin — little else is known. There's good reason for the secrecy: the script was only a third written when it went into production last December. As Jones admitted in February — prior to the sequel resuming production in March after a two-month hiatus allowed for further rewrites — "there are vast pieces of the script yet unwritten."
Tropic Thunder screenwriter Etan Cohen wrote the initial draft, or, shall we say, initial first third of a script, while David Koepp (Jurassic Park), Jeff Nathanson (Rush Hour 3) and Michael Soccio (TV's The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air) have all had a turn with the script since, and their collective efforts (and the movie's many delays) don't seem to have hindered the upcoming sequel — from the look of the trailer, at least.
Like the other Men in Black movies, Men in Black III was directed by Barry Sonnenfeld, and co-stars Emma Thompson, who shows up briefly in the trailer, and Betty White, Nicole Scherzinger, and Jemaine Clement, who don't.
