First Prometheus Poster Arrives Online

After the release of first-look photos from director Ridley Scott's quasi-Alien prequel, Prometheus, 20th Century Fox wasn't too pleased that a leaked version of the trailer had made it online. "For some early, early, early, early half-baked, half-assed test to leak, it's so unfair," said Fox chairman and CEO Tom Rothman.
Luckily, the first poster for the movie is no bootleg, but, unfortunately, doesn't tell us any more about the movie than the recent photos. Featuring the cryptic tagline "the search for our beginning could lead to our end", the poster shows someone (probably Noomi Rapace) walking to a profile of the same statue revealed in the previous stills. Prometheus follows a group of scientists and explorers that head to a distant planet in search of
aliens — sorry, the answers to mankind's origins.
Prometheus was written by Jon Spaihts (The Darkest Hour) and rewritten by Damon Lindelof (Cowboys and Aliens), which apparently led to the movie becoming something other than a prequel to Scott's Alien. The cast includes Michael Fassbender (X-Men: First Class), Charlize Theron (Young Adult), Idris Elba (Thor), Guy Pearce (Memento), Logan Marshall-Green (Devil), Patrick Wilson (Watchmen)and Rafe Spall (Anonymous).
