Horrible Bosses Director to Helm Melissa McCarthy's ID Theft of Jason Bateman

Last summer, Seth Gordon helped Jason Bateman try to kill his boss, now he has designs to steal Bateman's identity.
Variety reports that the Horrible Bosses director is set to reunite with Bateman in the upcoming comedy ID Theft for Universal. The plot, as the title suggests, involves Bateman getting his identity stolen by a character that was originally a man, but after seeing Melissa McCarthy's scene-stealing performance in Bridesmaids, Bateman reportedly asked for McCarthy to be cast instead.
Bridesmaids, which also opened last summer, earned an impressive $288 million in worldwide box office over Horrible Bosses' $209 million, and the studio clearly sees that the teaming of Bateman and McCarthy should be lucrative and are looking for an early 2012 production start. No release date has been set yet.
ID Theft will be Gordon's next project, though the director is also attached to direct a remake of 1983's War Games and possibly Horrible Bosses II.
