Without wasting any time, actor Daniel Radcliffe is moving swiftly from project to project. The Hollywood Reporter confirms, via casting director Laura Rosenthal, that Radcliffe has accepted the role of poet Allen Ginsberg in the upcoming movie Kill Your Darlings.
Since his Harry Potter days, Radcliffe has expanded his resume, and accomplished quite a bit beginning with his most recent role in the movie The Woman in Black—which hits theaters February 3rd. Shedding his boy wizard persona, Radcliffe also wrapped up his 10-month run on Broadway as J. Pierrepont Finch in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying and will soon begin production on Kill Your Darlings.
"It's one of the things that's on the table absolutely,” Radcliffe told MTV before the casting was confirmed. “It would be amazing and I'm very, very enthused for that script and that young director, [John Krokidas]."
Due in theaters next year, Kill Your Darlings is about a 1944 murder that brings together three beat generation poets (Allen Ginsberg, Jack Kerouac and William Burroughs) and co-stars Elizabeth Olsen, Dane DeHaan, and Jack Huston.
