New Footage Revealed in Latest TV Spots for Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance

Three new TV spots for Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance are now available for viewing online, offering new footage from the movie not seen in the previous TV spot or trailers. Not quite a reboot, but not fully a sequel to 2007's Ghost Rider, Spirit of Vengeance retains Academy Award-winning actor Nicolas Cage as Johnny Blaze/Ghost Rider, but reboots everything else, from the Marvel Comics character's origin and look to his powers.
Set five years after the events in the first movie, Spirit of Vengeance finds Blaze in self-imposed exile in Eastern Europe, where he struggles to keep the demon within himself from re-emerging. However, Blaze is forced to relinquish control to the Ghost Rider after being recruited by a secret sect of the church to save the soul of a young boy named Danny (Fergus Riordan) from the devil (Ciarán Hinds). Of particular interest to comic book fans is the fact that Danny's last name was recently revealed to be "Ketch," as in Blaze's successor as Ghost Rider in Marvel Comics lore, which could mean that Columbia Pictures is already making plans for the franchise to continue post-Cage.
Spirit of Vengeance was directed by the daredevil directing team of Brian Taylor and Mark Neveldine (Crank movies). The screenplay was written by Scott M. Gimple, Seth Hoffman and David S. Goyer, from a story by Goyer. Idris Elba, Christopher Lambert, Violante Placido, Johnny Whitworth and Christopher Lambert also star.
