Japanese Trailer for Brave Reveals Plenty, Doesn't Spoil

After releasing a preview clip and TV spot last month for the upcoming animated movie Brave, Disney/Pixar has unveiled their most revealing trailer yet — in Japanese (don't worry, there's subtitles).
As we know from the movie's synopsis, Brave follows the young princess Merida (voiced by Boardwalk Empire's Kelly Macdonald), who defies an age-old custom and inadvertently unleashes chaos and fury in the kingdom. While the movie's English trailer showed the first part of the story, there was no sign of the second part, where an eccentric old Witch (Julie Walters) grants Merida an ill-fated wish that forces her to undo a beastly curse. The recently-released Japanese trailer concentrates more on the curse element of the movie, while still managing to not reveal too much of the movie's secrets.
was written Brenda Chapman
(The Prince of Egypt
) and Irene Mecchi
) and was directed by Mark Andrews
. The voice cast also includes Billy Connolly
as King Fergus, Emma Thompson
as Queen Elinor, Kevin McKidd
as Lord MacGuffin, Craig Ferguson
as Lord Macintosh, and Robbie Coltrane
as Lord Dingwall.
