New Still Images and Poster for The Amazing Spider-Man

Sony doesn't want to reveal too much more about The Amazing Spider-Man than they already have — new Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield) with new girlfriend (Emma Stone) searches for the truth about his parents' (Campbell Scott and Embeth Davidtz) disappearance and learns they might be responsible for his transformation into Spider-Man and possibly even the creation of his new enemy, the Lizard (Rhys Ifans) — but the studio is determined to remind you that there is another Marvel superhero hitting big screen this summer besides the self-proclaimed "Earth's Mightiest Heroes" headlining The Avengers. Which is why the studio has released three new, but rather unrevealing, still images from the movie (Spider-Man likes computers; books and cops don't like Spider-Man) and a new poster that is basically a redux of an earlier poster.
The Amazing Spider-Man is based on the classic Marvel Comics character created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko that first appeared in Amazing Fantasy #15 in August 1962. The screenplay was written by James Vanderbilt and Alvin Sargent. Annie Parisse, Irrfan Khan, Denis Leary, C. Thomas Howell, Martin Sheen, and Sally Field also star.
