Discover the "Origins" of Ridley Scott's Prometheus in New Featurette

After months and months of super secrecy about the plot of director Ridley Scott's new sci-fi movie, Prometheus, 20th Century Fox has apparently decided that too much secrecy is not necessarily a good thing, especially now that the movie's potential audience has been limited by the R-rating given by the MPAA. The new trailer that was released two weeks ago clocked in at nearly three minutes and clearly explained the premise — scientists discover compelling evidence that the human race has not only been visited in the distant past, but that the aliens who came to Earth left an "invitation" for us to visit them in turn once our technology advanced to the point of interstellar travel — and gave us a glimpse of the horrors in store for the crew of the Prometheus.
Now, a new featurette has been released that offers even greater insight into the "Origins" of the movie and the crew's mission. It also further explains the motivations of several of the main characters, including the scientist who discovered the invitations, Elizabeth Shaw, played by Noomi Rapace — "I think she wants to meet our makers and find out things about our destiny, in a way." — and reveals that the planet or moon that the Prometheus visits is in the Zeti 2 Reticuli system, a star system long considered by UFOlogists to be the origin of the so-called "Grey" aliens.
Prometheus was written by Damon Lindelof (Cowboys and Aliens) from a script originally written by Jon Spaihts (The Darkest Hour). The cast includes Idris Elba as Janek, Michael Fassbender as David,Charlize Theron as Meredith Vickers, Sean Harris as Fifield, Rafe Spall as Milburn, Logan Marshall-Green as Charlie Holloway, Guy Pearce as Peter Weyland, Kate Dickie as Mudow and Patrick Wilson as Shaw's father.
