Jena Malone Offered Role in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire

As most Panem citizens know, the 75th Hunger Games will be a Quarter Quell, and it looks like we have a tribute ready to go for District 7.
Earlier this week, THR reported that Jena Malone (Sucker Punch, Saved!) was offered the role of Johanna Mason in the second installment of the Hunger Games series, Catching Fire.
The sassy, ax-wielding tribute is the first of the new set of Hunger Games contestants to be cast, though it's not the first bit of casting news for the movie. Last month, it was revealed that Philip Seymour Hoffman was offered the role of Head Game Maker, Plutarch Heavensbee. This news still leaves everyone waiting on pins and needles wanting to know who will play the handsome and charming District 4 Tribute, Finnick Odair. It has to be a tough task to cast Finnick, because it must be difficult for any man to look particularly handsome when he is starring alongside Liam Hemsworth.
Next Showing: Catching Fire
is slated for a November 22, 2013 release
