The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Will Be Split Into Two Parts; Release Dates Set

Much like the Harry Potter and Twilight franchises before it, the The Hunger Games' final novel, Mockingjay, will split into two parts for its movie adaptation. A movie quadrilogy of Suzanne Collins' Hunger Games series was first rumored over a year ago, and Lionsgate has made it official by setting release dates for both parts of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay.
Part 1 will open worldwide on November 21, 2014, while Mockingjay Part 2 will follow on November 20, 2015. The second installment of the series, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, will be released on November 22, 2013, and will likely start production this September. Considering the proximity of the release dates, it would seem that Jennifer Lawrence's schedule will be busy for quite some time.
With Mockingjay being split into two, the big question is how Lionsgate plans to split the book. While plenty of theories are bound to proliferate online, Entertainment Weekly has three possibilities, which, unless you've already read the books, are filled with spoilers so be warned.
