Bloody The Punisher Short Starring Thomas Jane and Ron Perlman

Thomas Jane played Frank Castle, aka The Punisher, in 2004's The Punisher but ultimately passed on the mess that was 2008's poorly-received Punisher: War Zone (Ray Stevenson replaced Jane in the title role). Now Jane is back as the Punisher in a new, bloody, ten-minute short titled Dirty Laundry.
Directed by Phil Joanou (State of Grace, Gridiron Gang), Dirty Laundry shows Frank finding trouble no matter where he goes, even if its just to the laundromat. On producer Adi Shankar's (The Grey) YouTube page (via Collider), Jane offered an explanation on why he and his production company made a fan movie for The Punisher.
I wanted to make a fan film for a character I've always loved and believed in — a love letter to Frank Castle & his fans. It was an incredible experience with everyone on the project throwing in their time just for the fun of it. It's been a blast to be a part of from start to finish — we hope the friends of Frank enjoy watching it as much as we did making it.
With the character of the Punisher now back in the hands of Marvel Studios, it could be looked at as Jane promoting himself to reprise the role should Marvel decide to do something with the character again, as Jane's Twtter follower DJThis similarly suggests. Jane's response was to the contrary.
Not pushing anything. Just a fan film from Friends of Frank.
Dirty Laundry was screened at this year's Comic-Con during a presentation for Jane's production company. The bloody, and considerably NSFW short is below, and co-stars the great Ron Perlman in a small, but pivotal, role.
