The Hunger Games: Catching Fire Casts Wiress, Finnick Rumors Center on Snow White's Prince

The tribute selection is well under way for the upcoming Hunger Games's Quarter Quell. The most recent tribute comes from the technology center, District 3. According to the Hunger Games Casting Facebook page, Amanda Plummer has officially been cast as Wiress, the clever, eccentric, inventor and untalkative tribute nicknamed Nuts, in the upcoming sequel to The Hunger Games, Catching Fire. Plummer is probably best known for playing Honey Bunny in Pulp Fiction. Come to think of it, Honey Bunny probably would have done pretty well for herself in the arena.
If the rumors are true, casting news should be coming soon about Wiress' counterpart Beetee, as well as the handsome, cocky Finnick Odair.
Variety is reporting that Sam Claflin, who most recently was on the big screen as William in Snow White and the Huntsman, is number one on the list to be District 4's Finnick. There's no doubt that the handsome Claflin would be able to wriggle secrets out of many Capitol citizens without half trying — specially if he were wearing a fishing net loincloth.
The same report from Variety says that for the observant, intuitive, odd Beetee, Lionsgate wants three-time Emmy winner Tony Shalhoub. Undoubtedly Shalhoub would be perfect as the off-kilter, revolution-supporting inventor. The news of either of these fellas to be selected as tributes is still not official, but hopefully this is a case where the rumors are true, because they would both be great allies for Katniss.
