Are you ready to be Bourne again?
The Bourne Legacy, the first non-Jason Bourne (Matt Damon) movie based on the characters and situations created by Robert Ludlum, is due to hit theaters in less than two weeks. To help get you up to speed on
the new Bourne Aaron Cross (Jeremy Renner) and his mission to stay ahead of the kill squads sent after him and other Operation Outcome agents targeted for termination by Byer (Edward Norton), Universal has unleashed a huge selection of new promotional materials for the movie.
In addition to a new teaser poster that uses an image from the dramatic rooftop run scene we previewed last week and nearly a dozen new still images, four new preview clips have been released. Two of the clips demonstrate that Cross is every bit as badass as Bourne ever was, another shows that Operation Outcome scientist Dr. Stephanie Snyder (Rachel Weisz) can be colder and more detached than the man she has helped turn into a killer, and a fourth shows why Byer is not a man that you want to cross (no pun intended).
The Bourne Legacy was writer (with Dan Gilroy) and directed by Tony Gilroy, who wrote or co-wrote the three previous Bourne movies. The cast includes several familiar faces from previous Bourne movies, including David Strathairn as Noah Vosen, Albert Finney as Dr. Albert Hirsch, Joan Allen as FBI Agent Pamela Landy, and Scott Glenn as Ezra Kramer. New additions include Stacy Keach as Turso and Oscar Isaac as Number Three.
