Mike Epps to Return as 'Black Doug' in The Hangover 3

Co-writer and director Todd Phillips managed to squeeze just about everyone who made us laugh in the original The Hangover into The Hangover Part II, but he forgot one of our favorite characters: Black Doug (Mike Epps), the drug dealer who mistakenly sold rohypnol to Alan (Zach Galifianakis) instead of ecstasy, which resulted in the "Wolfpack" forgetting, among other things, that they stranded White Doug (Justin Bartha) on the roof and stole Mike Tyson's tiger. Phillips apparently aims to remedy that oversight in the threequel, however, as Variety reports that Epps is "in negotiations to reprise" the role in The Hangover 3.
Not much is known about the "conclusion" to Phillips' "three-part opera of mayhem, despair and bad decisions" at this time. Phillips wrote the script with The Hangover Part II co-screenwriter Craig Mazin, and the aforementioned mayhem is supposed to occur in Los Angeles, Las Vegas and Tijuana. Headliners Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, Galifianakis are all returning, with Ken Jeong getting an expanded role as international criminal Mr. Chow. There's no word on how Epps' character will fit into the story, but it makes sense that he would make an appearance considering part of the movie will take place in Las Vegas.
