The paparazzo who was involved in a high-speed chase earlier this month while trying to follow Justin Bieber is now officially facing criminal charges and jail time. The Los Angeles City Attorney's Office filed four misdemeanor charges against photographer Paul Raef. Raef could be sentenced with up to a year of jail time as well as $3,500 in fines.
In other celebrity motorist news, TMZ reports that Lindsay Lohan has been involved in yet another car accident. Also, the sun rose in the east this morning. This most recent accident was a minor fender bender on Wednesday that resulted from LiLo tapping her Porsche against the bumper of a car that was stopped at a red light.
It's not all bad news for Robert Pattinson this week. The actor is attached to star alongside Guy Pearce in a futuristic western titled The Rover, and the movie was officially given the greenlight yesterday, the same day his longtime girlfriend, Kristen Stewart, publicly apologized for cheating on him.
Both The Daily Show and The Colbert Report were nominated for this year's Emmy awards, and now hosts Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert have both extended their contracts for another two years.
Reality star Holly Madison revealed in a recent interview that she's started the process to adopt a baby. Madison is leaving her Peepshow job at the Planet Hollywood Resort in Las Vegas at the end of this year, giving her time to focus on starting a family. When Madison left Hugh Hefner, the Playboy Mansion, and The Girls Next Door in 2008, it seemed in large part to be due to the fact that Madison wanted a husband and a family, while Hefner did not.
