Today's Hollywood Headlines
Country crooner Randy Travis was arrested for driving under the influence on Tuesday, and the more details that emerge about the story, the odder it gets. Travis was reportedly found naked in the road with his 1998 Pontiac Trans Am damaged and off the road nearby. He also made threats against Texas state troopers who responded to a 911 call from a passerby. These details bring up all sorts of questions. Was he naked when he got in the car? Did he take his clothes off after the assumed car crash? Why does he drive a '98 Trans Am? Hopefully some of these questions will be answered in the coming weeks.
The September issue is always Vogue's biggest of the year, and this time around the very stylish Lady Gaga is gracing the cover. The Mother Monster tweeted the cover photo and revealed her furry inspiration. According to Gaga, she was "totally channeling fozzibear." Wakka wakka wakka indeed.
Yet again, Madonna is stirring up controversy on her world tour. This time, Madge angered Russian deputy prime minister Dmitry Rogozin when she spoke out in support of an all-girl Russian punk group, Pussy Riot, who are presently facing a three-year prison sentence. Madonna said during a Moscow concert that she was praying for the groups freedom, and Rogozin responded via Twitter by calling the singer a "former slut."
Contrary to last week's rumor, Jimmy Fallon will not be hosting next year's Oscar ceremony. The comedian and talk show host was asked about the rumor on Today, but Fallon told Matt Lauer glumly that this is not his year.
Rumor is that Idol has it's eyes on Diddy. Producers from Fox's American Idol have reportedly offered a seat on their judges' panel to rapper and mogul Sean Combs to replace Steven Tyler who left earlier this year.
Someone new is speaking out about "Robsten"'s troubles. In an interview with EW, Breaking Dawn - Part 2 director Bill Condon talked about the relationship drama between Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson who star in his highly anticipated upcoming movie, but his comments were really directed at the fans.
The fact is, these are actors playing parts, and maybe it’s not such a bad thing that people be reminded of that. Both of these actors gave heart and soul to the Twilight movies, not only during shooting, but also by navigating so graciously the whole life-in-a-fishbowl aspect of the phenomenon. Above all they have always shown great respect for the fans who made these movies such a success. Now it’s time that some of that respect be returned to them.” Well spoken, Mr. Condon.
