Awesome One-Liners from the Cast of The Expendables 2

One of the hallmarks of he-man action movies of the '80s and '90s is the one-liner, that sometimes cheesy, often awesome, but definitely memorable signature line, typically delivered just before or immediately after a knock-down, drag-out fight between the hero and the villain (or one of the villain's many henchmen). It's hard to say exactly when the one-liner became a necessary fixture of action movies, but we'll give the credit (or blame, depending upon your point of view) to Arnold Schwarzenegger, whose movies have generated so many classic zingers that they're too numerous to mention. The practice was so common by 1991, in fact, that the Bruce Willis-led action movie The Last Boy Scout ends with Willis' character telling his new sidekick (Damon Wayans), "This is the '90s. You can't just walk up and slap a guy, you have to say something cool first."
With so many veteran action stars appearing in The Expendables 2 — exploding onto movie screens nationwide today! — we thought it would be fun to look back at some of the awesome one-liners delivered by various cast members in some of their more iconic roles. The Expendables 2 was directed by Simon West (Con Air), from a screenplay by Richard Wenk and Sylvester Stallone. The testosterone-fueled sequel to The Expendables finds the team — Barney Ross (Stallone), Lee Christmas (Jason Statham), Yin Yang (Jet Li), Gunnar Jensen (Dolph Lundgren), Toll Road (Randy Couture) and Hale Caesar (Terry Crews), with new recruits Bill "The Kid" Timmons (Liam Hemsworth) and Maggie (Yu Nan) in tow — on a mission into hostile territory after the seemingly simple job they are contracted to perform for Mr. Church (Bruce Willis) results in the death of one of their own at the hands of rival mercenary Jean Vilain (Jean-Claude Van Damme). Scott Adkins, Charisma Carpenter and Chuck Norris also star.
