Sylvester Stallone Fires a Bullet to the Head in New Trailer

Sylvester Stallone can be seen in The Expendables 2 starting this weekend, but Stallone fans would have already received a spring fix had Warner Bros. not decided to delay the action flick Bullet to the Head from its April 13th release date. Now we may have an idea why it was pushed back to 2013 with the arrival of the movie's first trailer.
Based on the French graphic novel Du Plomb dans la Tête (or Bullet to the Head), the movie stars Stallone as a New Orleans hitman who teams with a New York cop (Fast Five's Sung Kang) to get revenge on the men who killed their respective partners. While the plotline sounds appropriate enough for a Stallone flick, particularly one of his earlier works, that could be the problem. The trailer appears to be in sync with one of Stallone's previous works — which may not be a problem for those devoted to Stallone's (ahem) body of work — only Bullet to the Head seems less First Blood and more Tango & Cash (which may not be a problem depending on your feelings about the latter).
The somewhat dated, straight-to-Cinemax feel could be attributed to director Walter Hill, as Bullet to the Head looks akin to the action movies he's directed in the past, but less 48 Hrs. and The Warriors and more Another 48 Hrs. and Red Heat, which, again, could be a good thing depending on how one feels about the latter. See for yourself below.
Bullet to the Head co-stars Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra), Holt McCallany (The Losers), Christian Slater (Heathers), Sarah Shahi (I Don't Know How She Does It) and Jason Momoa (Conan the Barbarian), who plays the main adversary.
