Kristen Bell Discusses Performing Her Own Stunts With Dax Shepard in Hit and Run

Earlier this month, production had to be halted on the upcoming sequel Iron Man 3 when actor Robert Downey Jr. hurt his ankle while performing a stunt. In this weekend's action-comedy Hit and Run, writer, co-director and lead actor Dax Shepard performed his own driving stunts with Kristen Bell along for the ride as well. When the two actors spoke to Hollywood Dailies, Bell talked about the stunt driving and whether or not it made her nervous to have Shepard put her life in danger.
I wasn't [nervous]. I've driven so many times with Dax and though it seems experimental and crazy when he's behind the wheel, he's actually really safe. He's gained my trust.
Hit and Run stars Shepard as a former getaway driver who leaves behind his Witness protection identity when he drives his girlfriend (Bell) to Los Angeles. However, a U.S. Marshal (Tom Arnold) and his former bank-robbing best friend (Bradley Cooper) are also hot on their trail.
Shepard called the experience of making the movie with his real-life fiancée the "best six weeks of our five years together" and the two agreed that they would love to work together again.
Co-directed by David Palmer (Brother's Justice), Hit and Run co-stars Joy Bryant (Parenthood), Kristin Chenoweth (Four Christmases), David Koechner (Anchorman), Ryan Hansen (Starz's Party Down), and Beau Bridges (The Descendents).
